• The name "Wendy" was made up for the book Peter Pan. There wasn't any record of the name Wendy before Peter Pan. The author made it up! Creative!
Someone commented on that fact (The Never Fairy) saying:
"Actually Wendy was made up for the play, it came first. :)"
...and yes, it's true! Thanks Never Fairy! A theatrical play came before the book. For more details about this... why don't you check out the movie "Finding Neverland"? J.M. Barrie, the author, was played by Johnny Depp.
I guess what this fact means is that, generally... there wasn't a record of a name Wendy before. I mean, even before the book...the play...
...no girl was ever named...WENDY... Hehehehe...
